The Corridor is a room. "Emergency lighting casts red shadows. The air tastes stale. A sign reads SECTOR A. Doors lead east and west. Frost has formed on the walls."
The oxygen canister is in the Corridor. "A pressurised canister marked O2. The gauge reads 40%."
The Control Room is east of the Corridor. "Banks of dark monitors. One screen still glows, casting pale blue light."
The Escape Bay is west of the Corridor. "The pod sits in its cradle, ready. A red lock panel blocks the hatch."
The access card is in the Control Room. "A magnetic access card. The name on it has been scratched off."
Instead of examining the access card:
say "The stripe on the back looks intact. It might work on a card reader."
Instead of examining the glowing screen:
say "HULL INTEGRITY 42%. OXYGEN: 18 MIN REMAINING. ESCAPE POD: LOCKED. EMERGENCY OVERRIDE: 7-7-3."
Instead of examining the red lock panel:
say "A card reader and a 3-digit keypad. In small stencilled letters: ENTER CODE AFTER CARD SWIPE."
Instead of going west when the player does not have the access card:
say "The lock panel demands an access card. You need to find one."
Instead of going west when the player has the access card:
say "You swipe the card. The keypad lights up. You type 7-7-3. The pod hatch hisses open. You're going home."
